• I'm Ana María San Román Alvarez, a rising senior from Ixtapan de la Sal, México, pursuing a degree in International Development Economics. Within the University, I'm involved with the Trinity University Latino Association (TULA) where I've served as the Public Relations Chair, Secretary, and now Historian. I also serve as a Spanish tutor for the Spanish Writing & Grammar Center.

San Antonio is a beautiful and vibrant city with many things to do, but some of my favorites include going to the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema to watch a movie, visiting incredible locally-owned small businesses like coffee shops, thrift stores, and restaurants. Visiting nearby museums, some of which offer free entry if you show them your Trinity ID, and even just walking around in any of the city’s public parks—my favorite one is Brackenridge Park, which is less than a mile away from campus.

Trinity has so many helpful resources for international students, so don’t hesitate to reach out and ask questions—you will always be met with comprehension, kindness, and empathy. Beyond academics, I love books, movies, and music of all kinds and am always open to new recommendations.
